Cesar Cancho is an Economist in the Poverty and Equity Global Practice for the Eastern Europe and Central Asia region. His recent work has focused on poverty measurement issues, fiscal incidence analysis, distributional impact of reforms and analysis of subjective well-being. Prior to joining the World Bank he worked on poverty and social development issues in the Latin American region for the Inter-American Development Bank, the government of Peru and local research centers. Mr. Cancho received his PhD in economics from Texas A&M University.
